We support The Children’s Hospital Of Michigan Foundation

Established in 2003, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation is the state’s largest funder dedicated solely to advancing the health and wellness of the children of Michigan. Through funding and advocacy dedicated to three core pillars – Community Benefit, Pediatric Research, and Medical Education – the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation enables researchers and community organizations to identify and implement innovations capable of advancing children’s health.  Since 2011 we have provided more than 48 million in grant funding. The Foundation’s current areas of focus include mental health, nutritional wellness, abuse and neglect, oncology and cardiology research and injury prevention. and Variety the children’s charity

It all started with a baby. On Christmas Eve in 1928 at the beginning of the great depression, a mother walked into the Sheridan Theater in Pittsburg, Pennsylvannia with a bundle in her arms – that bundle was a baby girl. The mother laid the baby on a seat with a note pinned to her blanket, “I have seven other children and cannot take care of my baby. I understand people in show business have big hearts. Signed, a distraught mother. P.S. her name is Catherine”

The owner of the theater and ten other gentlemen affiliated with the entertainment industry agreed to financially underwrite the child’s support and education. With this act, they founded the first Variety chapter.

Today Variety is a global philanthropic organization that has raised more than $1.5 billion (U.S.) for children around the world. Variety’s work is made possible by the commitment of thousands of volunteers, friends and corporate sponsors who give generously of their time, talent and financial resources for the well being of children.
